Hello Friends! Let me introduce you to my new hobby. Collecting old photographs. As you know, my father's collection of black and white negatives dates from the late 1940-1980 that were taken in my hometown, Asbury Park, NJ. The photos on this page, I found at a Columbia, SC flea market. They caught my eye because I had just finished working on a community project of cleaning grave stones at an African American cemetery - The Randolph Cemetery.. No, I don't speak to the dead, and don't want to, but as I was taking photos of the old headstones, and walked through the cemetery, I felt the need to take various particular head stones. It was as if the people that our instructor was talking about was guiding me to them. Then the next weekend, I went to the US1 flea market, and found an old photo album with these photos. I know these may not be the actual people, but they are people forgotten, and their family images were lost. I found them, paid $30.00 for the album and photos. Now I want to share them with you. Maybe you recognize them as an ancestor. I will post more information as I get it about the photos.
The names found in the album were James and Charles, Johnson, Anderson, and more. Come back again, and see what I find out about these photos.
